COLFIN TTM 1016 is a torque tension modifier/lubricant for use over zinc and zinc alloy electroplated deposits. It increases the corrosion protection of the plated coating. The easy-to-use, water-based liquid is formulated with a built-in UV tracer to allow application confirmation.

COLFIN TTM 1016 provides a coefficient of friction range of 0.10 – 0.16 over zinc deposits. It is widely used in OEM applications, meeting the requirements
of General Motors GMW3044 G, PSA B15 4140, RENAULT 0171002, TRW TS 2-21-07 and meets the spec requirements of John Deere for JDM-F15 and JDM-F21, symbol A and symbol F.

Columbia Chemical takes seriously its commitment to provide OEMs with plating processes that exceed their requirements. With regard to fastener approvals, Columbia uses the Schatz-Analyse Fastener Analysis System to test the frictional characteristics of the finished fasteners, ensuring that they will tighten consistently in the field. The equipment has the testing capabilities to determine torque and angle, clamping force, head friction, yield point, fracture breaking, calculation of coefficient of friction, and other parameters.
