Franke Plating Lab Chemists Benefit from On-Site Training

November 20, 2019

One of the many benefits provided to our customers under the Columbia Chemical Finisher’s Advantage program is access to high quality, hands-on training and education in our full-service lab. Members of the Franke Plating Works team recently visited Columbia Chemical for a training session on our COLSID AP acid zinc and COLZINC ACF-II alkaline zinc plating processes.

Bo Davis and Lisa Cialdella spent time in our lab with Technical Support Representative Stephen Roberts. Roberts first led a brief tour of our facility and provided an overview of Columbia’s full line of analytical lab equipment and our Quality Control and Retain process. The team then spent the day training on titrations for each process, running and evaluating hull cell panels and troubleshooting various scenarios and solutions. Davis and Cialdella appreciated the thorough training and felt it will provide them with a great advantage in their day to day operations, allowing them to enhance their plating bath analysis and help maintain the Franke Plating Works commitment to quality.

Columbia Chemical is focused on delivering superior plating solutions and the highest level of expertise to help customers solve plating challenges, enhance plant efficiency and control costs. Columbia Chemical’s Finisher’s Advantage Program is all about partnering for success. It is the full offering of our product and support services where we apply our surface finishing expertise, technical knowledge, and laboratory resources to help our plating shop customers reach and maintain their quality and throughput goals.
