Columbia Chemical Status Regarding Ohio COVID-19 Stay at Home Order

March 23, 2020

As it pertains to the recent “Stay at Home” order from Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, Columbia Chemical is classified an “essential business” due to our operations as a supplier to manufacturing in critical industries such as safety, medical, construction and energy. As such, we will remain open to serve our customers and support you in your valuable role during this global and domestic crisis.

In addition to following CDC guidelines and precautions to help keep our employees safe, we are also implementing additional measures after this recent executive order to limit exposure while maintaining our operations.

Please note the following:

  • Our administrative employees are working from home and we are rotating staff and scheduling of our essential on-site employees to facilitate orders, production, shipping, and lab analysis.
  • Orders can still be emailed or called in Monday – Friday, however, in order to help manage production and shipping schedules and align inventory to meet customer demand, we will be concentrating our shipping days to Mondays and Thursdays. As always, customer service will work with you to notify you of your shipping date and track the shipment accordingly. Please allow as much lead time as possible and note anything urgent at the time of order.
  • Due to our remote work situation, email orders are the preferred method at this time. Send orders direct to customerservice@columbiachemical.com
  • We encourage customers to continue to run basic titration and analysis at your facilities to maintain optimum bath conditions. Our Technical Account Managers will be working with individual accounts to help identify any lab samples you have that may need priority analysis so we can accommodate that within the framework of our reduced lab staffing.

While we remain committed to providing you with the excellent service and support you have come to know; please recognize we are operating with a limited number of on-site staff and ask that you bear with us as we adjust to this new scheduling.

Thank you for being a valued partner. These are difficult times and it is important to us to continue to support you in all that you do for the critical manufacturing segments that keep us all moving forward.
