40 Under 40 Class of 2021: Mike Evans

Congratulations to our Lab Manager Mike Evans who was nominated and selected to be part of the Products Finishing 40 Under 40 Class of 2021 & is the lead featured nominee in the March 2021 issue of the magazine.

Having joined Columbia Chemical in 2017, Evans started as a lab chemist & worked his way up to his current role of Lab Manager. His primary work includes, but is not limited to, supervising and assisting with analytical testing of plating bath solutions, overseeing high volume quality control, training the team of lab chemists, maintaining accurate QC test parameters and reporting and supervising the use of extensive analytical equipment testing such as X-Ray Fluorescence, Ion Chromatography, HPLC, ICP-OES, Salt Spray and Torque Tension. His efforts help Columbia continue to deliver on our industry-leading commitment to a 24 – 48-hour turnaround of routine analysis for our customers.

When looking toward the future, Evans says he is “motivated to continue to build and empower a strong team of employees who share his commitment to helping customers focus on delivering high-quality finished products that meet and exceed stringent OEM and Tier 1 regulations.”
