TRICOL Décor Expansion Continues in the Asian Markets

RECOGNIZING OUR GLOBAL PARTNERS:

As the adoption of Trivalent Chromium Plating usage continues to grow in the Asian markets as a response to REACH legislation, Columbia Chemical’s global partners maintain their edge on the competition with the help of members of the TriCOL Décor install team led by renowned expert Mark Schario.
Most recent to benefit from the expertise of the TriCOL team was a customer of Columbia Chemical’s longtime partner in Thailand, Coattech. On site were Mark Schario, Stephen Roberts and Martin Gall who converted an automatic tri chrome plating line from a competitor over to Columbia Chemical’s TriCOL Décor trivalent plating process. Based on the success of this automatic line conversion, the customer has since converted their manual line over without hesitation to Columbia’s TriCOL Décor and things are running smoothly on both lines.
Following that conversion, the team moved on to Taiwan where they completed a new make up of TriCOLDécor at Jang Dong. Columbia Chemical would like to thank our valued partner AST, along with their agent Sekoko, for their commitment to their customers and their important groundwork with Jang Dong to bring this together. The general manager and team at Jang Dong were very pleased with the results, especially the improved appearance of the finished parts. At the end of the successful makeup, Jang Dong treated the Columbia crew and all their employees to the Taiwanese specialty of Bubble Tea (Boba).

Columbia’s TriCOL Décor Plating Process is well known for its brilliant white deposits and faster plating speeds as well as its ability to solve the burning issue so commonly associated with hexavalent chrome plating. Faster production and improved waste treatment make the switch to trivalent chromium plating even easier. For an in-depth look at converting from hexavalent to trivalent chromium plating, view our free webinar featuring in-house expert Mark Schario and hosted by Products Finishing Editor Tim Pennington.
