Our line of trivalent chromium based passivations are hexavalent chromium free and comply with current ELV, RoHS and REACH regulations. These products can provide a trivalent passivation layer that is clear, blue, yellow, black or iridescent.

  • COLDIP TRI-V YELLOW CONVERTER

    Concentrated liquid dye that provides an intense yellow-gold color.  Added directly to trivalent clear or blue passivations to give a trivalent yellow coating over zinc electroplated deposits.

  • COLDIP MIDNIGHT 1500

    Latest generation trivalent black passivate for zinc plating. Easy-to-use process with a simple three-part system which allows for maximum color control and provides a consistent black appearance. The passivate works well over acid chloride zinc (both ammoniated and non-ammoniated systems), cyanide zinc, alkaline cyanide-free zinc and zinc-iron/cobalt alloy deposits.

  • COLDIP NI-Z SAPPHIRE 400

    High-corrosion resistant bright blue trivalent passivate for use in the rapidly growing Zinc Nickel (ZnNi) electroplating Industry.  Imparts an aesthetically pleasing blue-bright conversion coating which, when applied properly, will produce a finish that exceeds 400 hours of neutral salt spray to white corrosion products.

    High performance trivalent passivation for use over zinc electroplated deposits. Gives a slightly iridescent appearance and extremely high corrosion resistance. Wide operating ranges for ease of use and ambient operating temperature. This product contains cobalt.

  • COLDIP NI-Z Black Diamond 500

    Unique trivalent black conversion coating for electroplated zinc-nickel alloy. Ideal for both rack and barrel installations using alkaline and acid-nickel deposits. Produces a uniform, gloss-black, scratch-resistant finish and works over a very wide nickel alloy content range of 11% – 17%. Achieves over 400 hours to white corrosion and over 1,000 hours to red rust when sealed with Columbia Chemical sealer. 

  • COLDIP™ TRI-V 121

    Trivalent blue passivation for use over zinc electroplated deposits. Suggested for high corrosion resistance requirements where an additional sealer or topcoat may not be used. This product contains cobalt.

  • COLDIP™ TRI-V

    Economical trivalent blue passivation for use over zinc electroplated deposits. Operates at a low product concentration with high tolerance to trace impurities. Provides minimal corrosion resistance and does not contain cobalt.

  • COLDIP™ TRI-V 120

    Trivalent blue passivation for use over zinc electroplated deposits needing medium to high corrosion resistance. Flexible operation allows for adjustable immersion time and product concentration. This product contains cobalt.

  • COLDIP™ TRI-V 72 UB

    Economical “Ultra-Blue” trivalent passivation for use over zinc electroplated deposits that provides medium corrosion resistance. Excellent color intensity on acid or alkaline zinc deposits. This product contains cobalt.

  • COLDIP™ TRI-V 200 UB

    “Ultra-Blue” trivalent passivation for use over zinc electroplated deposits. Provides high corrosion resistance and color intensity on acid or alkaline zinc deposits. Flexible operation allows for use in a wide variety of plating installations.

  • COLDIP™ TRI-V 400 CL

    Economical trivalent clear passivation for zinc and zinc alloy electroplated deposits. Provides low to medium corrosion resistance and minimal zinc plate dissolution. This product contains cobalt.

  • SpectraMATE® 21

    Economical trivalent passivation for use over zinc electroplated deposits. Provides a slightly iridescent appearance and high corrosion resistance. Ambient operating temperature eliminates the expense of heating. This product contains cobalt.

  • COLDYE YELLOW 100

    Concentrated liquid dye that provides an intense yellow-gold color. Added directly to trivalent clear or blue passivations to give a trivalent yellow coating over zinc electroplated deposits.

  • TRIVECTA™ BLACK 300

    Trivalent black passivation for use over zinc and zinc-iron electroplated deposits. Tolerant to dissolved zinc and iron and excellent stability during idle periods. High corrosion resistance when used with a sealer. This process does not contain cobalt.

  • TRIVECTA™ BLACK MB 22

    Non-chromium black conversion coating for use over zinc and zinc-iron electroplated deposits. One component system for ease of use that provides medium corrosion resistance when used with a sealer. This product does not contain cobalt.

  • COLDIP™ TRI-V ZnNi TRUE BLUE 1000

    Trivalent blue bright passivation for use over zinc-nickel electroplated deposits. One component system for ease of use that that provides additional corrosion resistance to the underlying alloy deposit. This product does not contain cobalt.

    Economical trivalent semi-blue passivation for use over zinc-nickel electroplated deposits. Provides added corrosion resistance to the underlying alloy deposit and requires elevated operating temperatures. This product contains cobalt.

  • TRIVECTA™ NI-Z BLACK 70

    Trivalent black passivation for use over zinc-nickel electroplated deposits. One part system for ease of use that provides moderate corrosion resistance to the underlying alloy deposit. This product contains cobalt.
